Hartpury Gaynor's Dancing Horses

The sell out audience saw Working Equitation, Grand Prix Dressage, Classical Dressage, RORs, Lusitano's. What a night. The videos will give you a good idea of what you will see at Hartpury.   on April 11th.

The Kelsall demo was a huge success, with a sell out audience.

Niki first met Gaynor attending a clinic with her previous mare Cassie, who certainly knew what music she liked and what she didn't! After losing Cassie suddenly at only 13 years old, Niki bought another little Welsh cross mare, Maddie, who has attended various camps with Gaynor over the last few years. Niki finds that riding to music is not only really good fun, but also really helps to develop rhythm and cadence. Her preferred genre is country, which seems to fit the personalities of her mares. Niki has regularly helped out as part of the demo support crew, most especially trying to keep Gaynor to time! When not with the GDH team, Niki can often be found writing for dressage judges from Intro level to Grand Prix, both at local and championship level.

Do you want tailor made music that no one else has, music that fits your horse and transitions exactly. As the inventor of Dressage to Music as a competitive sport with Jennie Loriston-Clarke in 1980, Gaynor creates the music for riders to give joy and pleasure to the riders and the Demonstrations have always been in aid of charities, so over the years is proud do have donated to so many. Gaynor does not make any financial gain out of either creating the music or performing, as the sport she invented, it is something she feels should be created for beauty. 

As a multi-instrumentalist,  you can be really involved with your music, even choosing the instruments you would like your music to be played on. 

The costs she incurs in creating the music for everyone, cost of travel to venues, hire of venues are recouped from riders, but are nonprofit making, and could be considered her hobby. Gaynor as the inventor of the sport continues to enjoy creating the music, and gets immense pride from the performances of the riders using her music, whether they win or not.
