Hartpury Gaynor's Dancing Horses

The sell out audience saw Working Equitation, Grand Prix Dressage, Classical Dressage, RORs, Lusitano's. What a night. The videos will give you a good idea of what you will see at Hartpury.   on April 11th.

The Kelsall demo was a huge success, with a sell out audience.

Andrew used to have spare time until he married a dressage diva. Where once he would have time to while away, he now polishes boots, browbands, and buckles, being highly commended for his services by the English Company of Master Polishers (ECMP) in 2023. Unlike the House Elves in Harry Potter, Andrew is paid for his services, usually through tea and bacon and sausage sandwiches at events. His top tip to any current or aspiring groom, is to ensure the food and beverage clause is in the big not small print of any agreement as this ensures success for both horse and rider. He has the mantra 'post hoc ergo propter hoc' embossed on his brushes.
Fred is SJ's equivalent of the Laker Girls. At four years and around 3ft tall, Fred's cheerleading, often in the quiet bits of any performance, keeps spirits high and smiles broad. He has a pony called Copper and his favourite word is 'giant-osauras'.

As the inventor of Dressage to Music as a competitive sport with Jennie Loriston-Clarke in 1980, Gaynor creates the music for riders to give joy and pleasure to the riders and the Demonstrations have always been in aid of charities, so over the years is proud do have donated to so many. Gaynor does not make any financial gain out of either creating the music or performing, as the sport she invented, it is something she feels should be created for beauty. 

As a multi-instrumentalist,  you can be really involved with your music, even choosing the instruments you would like your music to be played on. 

The costs she incurs in creating the music for everyone, cost of travel to venues, hire of venues are recouped from riders, but are nonprofit making, and could be considered her hobby. Gaynor as the inventor of the sport continues to enjoy creating the music, and gets immense pride from the performances of the riders using her music, whether they win or not.
